Getting started
What you receive, and the order of work from first call to a gateway carrying traffic.
What you receive
Every Ixolate Security Gateway deployment comes with three things: the gateway software, an initial configuration written for your network, and a support path at the tier you picked.
On the BYOD model the hardware is yours. On the appliance model, once it ships, the hardware arrives from us already configured.
Order of work
- Assessment. Topology, sites, load and compliance obligations get mapped.
- Design. Segmentation, addressing, rules and redundancy written down before anything is touched.
- Staging. The system is installed, hardened, then configured and tested outside peak hours.
- Migration. A staged move off the old device, inside agreed change windows, with a rollback plan.
- Handover. Documentation, admin access, and hands-on time with your team.
Administrative access
You get a full administrator account on your own device. We do not hold access back as leverage. The only thing held back is the move to a new major version, purely so nothing drops without a schedule.
Once it is live
- Security updates within the running version are yours to run whenever you want.
- Every update run from the interface lands in the device audit log.
- Larger network design changes should come through us, because the blast radius crosses sites.
Need handover documents in a specific format for an audit or tender? Say so during the assessment, not after the install is finished.
